Mission X 2023

On 5 June, this year’s competition “Mission X – Train Like an Astronaut” came to a successful end with the final event in Linz.

The Mission X Final 2023 was again a great experience for all participating teams, classes and teachers. After the welcome on the “Maindeck”, the teams went through the centre in station mode. The programme included a virtual meeting via video with our astronaut Franz Viehböck, a visit to Deep Space with a flight to the space station and the planets, and the final award ceremony. The Vienna Bilingual School from Vienna managed to win the prestigious prize of “Best Overall Performance” this time. We congratulate them warmly. But all the other teams were also winners in various categories.

In 2022/23 Mission X was held for the thirteenth time in Austria and internationally. A series of exercises provides children and teachers with a lot of fun and knowledge in the areas of space, exercise, teamwork as well as healthy nutrition. The exercises (missions) show the children how astronauts exercise and what their fitness programme looks like. In recent years, more than 8.000 Austrian schoolchildren and 400 schools have already successfully participated in the competition.
